- 1 unit of 9MW LiBr absorption heat pump: Provides a large capacity for citywide heating demands.
- 1 unit of 7MW LiBr absorption heat pump: Supports the 9MW unit, allowing for flexibility and increased reliability.
- 1 unit of 12MW LiBr absorption heat pump: This high-capacity unit will significantly enhance the overall heating output of the system.
- 1 unit of 3.5MW LiBr absorption heat pump: A smaller unit to support the operation and ensure a balance in heat distribution across the system.
Main Function:
- City Heating: The primary function of this system is to supply heating to the city of Tongliao, providing warmth to residential, commercial, and public buildings during the colder months. This district heating project is particularly important for Inner Mongolia, where winters can be extremely harsh.

General introduction
Tongliao Thermal Power Company was established in July 2006 through the joint efforts of the Tongliao Thermal Power Station and Tongfa Heating Supply Company. The company operates an integrated system of energy generation and distribution, comprising four combined heat and power (CHP) units with a total power generation capacity of 60 MW. In addition, it manages five boilers with a total steam output of 595 tons per hour. The company's annual power production reaches approximately 430 million kWh, while its heating system supplies about 6.5 million GJ of thermal energy annually. The company also generates 8.7 million GJ in heating sales each year, making it a cornerstone of the city's district heating infrastructure.
The company manages a vast external heating network, consisting of six main supply lines and 118 heat exchange stations. The total length of the primary and secondary heating network reaches 62.4 km and 60 km, respectively. The overall system covers a total of 140 km of distribution lines, serving an area of 10.49 million square meters. This network is responsible for providing heating to 75.6% of the residents in the main urban area of Tongliao, directly serving over 100,000 households and a population of nearly 400,000 people. As one of the few companies in China with unified control over both its heat sources and distribution network, Tongliao Thermal Power Company plays a pivotal role in the city's energy management, ensuring efficient and reliable heating services year-round.
