Chengdu Qingbaijiang Household Waste Incineration Power Plant
Project location: Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province
Equipment selection:70KW LiBr Steam-fired Absorption Chiller
Main function: Using the waste heat from waste power plants; improve the utilization of heat energy.
General introduction
The Chengdu Xiangfu Household Waste Incineration Power Plant, established on August 4, 2009, is located in Xiangfu Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu, with a total investment of 860 million yuan. It stands as one of the most advanced modern waste incineration power generation projects in China, excelling in areas such as equipment, construction, technology, and operation. The plant is also a key project for both Sichuan Province and Chengdu City, marking the third large-scale waste disposal project in the region. It serves as a national environmental science base and contributes to Chengdu's scientific development.
The franchise period for the project is 25 years, including a 2-year construction period. The project began construction in September 2010 and was completed in November 2012. Its primary responsibility is to manage the disposal of household waste from Jinniu District, Chenghua District, Xindu District, and Qingbaijiang District in Chengdu. The facility has a capacity to dispose of 1,800 tons of household waste per day, amounting to 650,000 tons per year.
In terms of energy production, the plant is capable of generating 190 million kWh of electricity annually. It contributes significantly to environmental sustainability by saving approximately 81,000 tons of coal each year and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 189,400 tons annually.
This project is notable for being the first in China to adopt flue gas emission standards that align with European pollutant control standards, setting a high bar for environmental performance in waste incineration power plants in China.
To enhance the comprehensive utilization of waste heat from the Chengdu Xiangfu Household Waste Incineration Power Plant and improve the overall efficiency of heat utilization, the project also actively incorporates co-generation systems. The plant effectively captures the waste heat and pressure from the steam produced during the waste incineration process. This waste heat is then utilized for washing linen, thereby achieving the co-generation of both heat and power.
By harnessing this waste heat for linen washing, the project significantly improves the resource utilization efficiency of the waste incineration power generation process. It also modernizes the traditional washing methods in the linen industry, reducing the reliance on small boilers that typically contribute to pollution. As a result, the project not only optimizes energy usage but also brings substantial environmental benefits, such as a reduction in emissions, while simultaneously offering excellent social benefits.
