General introduction
The new hospital of Macheng People's Hospital is located on the north side of Shenguang Garden, Jintong Avenue, Xicheng New District, Macheng City. This is a key livelihood project initiated by the municipal party committee and government.
The construction includes a natural gas distributed energy station and a rooftop distributed photovoltaic power station with an installed capacity of 156 kW. The energy station features two 800 kW gas internal combustion generators, along with two flue gas + hot water LiBr absorption chiller units, four electric chillers, three gas-fired boilers, water pumps, and other supporting equipment, all centralized in a control room. The total project investment exceeds 30,000,000 RMB.
The system provides part of the power demand and fully meets the cooling, heating, and domestic hot water needs of the new courtyard area. The flue gas and high-temperature cylinder liner water from the gas internal combustion generator are directed into the flue gas hot water-fired LiBr absorption chiller, which is paired one-to-one with the internal combustion engine. This chiller has the capability to provide cooling, heating, and domestic hot water. The cooling and heating functions are switched seasonally, while the domestic hot water is available year-round.
The cooling plus domestic hot water heating mode allows for simultaneous or separate supply of cooling and domestic hot water. The heating plus domestic hot water heating mode ensures both heating and domestic hot water are supplied together or separately. The domestic hot water heating mode can operate independently of cooling and heating, providing dedicated domestic hot water supply.
This effective use of waste heat highlights the strong advantage of LiBr absorption chillers as the core equipment in natural gas distributed energy projects.
