During the long-term operation of the LiBr absorption unit, dirt, particles, impurities and even crystallization may accumulate in the solution, and the solution may also be discolored due to the corrosion of the heat exchanger tubes, and these impurities will affect the heat transfer performance of the solution, and even lead to problems such as clogging, corrosion, or crystallization of the equipment, which will reduce the absorption rate of the operating solution and seriously affect the performance of the unit. In order to solve this problem, Deepblue's solution online filtration system can realize the filtration of impurities in the solution without stopping to ensure the good heat exchange performance of the unit.

Its working principle can be divided into the following steps:

1. Solution flow and Filtration

The solution online passer is installed in the solution circulation loop of the LiBr absorption unit, and when the solution passes through the filter, the impurities will be captured by the filter element or screen inside the filter. Solid impurities, suspended particles and larger molecules in the solution are blocked on the surface of the filter element or screen, while the clean solution passes through the filter into other parts of the system, such as the absorber, generator or condenser.

2. Impurity Retention

The filter retains impurities in the solution on the surface of the cartridge or screen through the physical sieve principle.

3. Post-filter Solution Circulation

The solution cleaned by the filter is re-fed back to the circulating loop of the system to ensure that it will not be interfered by impurities when passing through key components such as the absorber, generator and condenser, and maintains good heat exchange performance.

 

The online LiBr solution filtration system is an important part of the LiBr absorption chiller. By monitoring and filtering impurities in the solution in real time, it effectively prevents crystallization, reduces system resistance, and improves the unit's cooling/heating efficiency, thus extending equipment life and reducing maintenance costs.
