LiBr (lithium bromide)-Main Characteristics
LiBr (Lithium Bromide) absorption chillers and heat pumps are key products from Hope Deepblue, designed to recover waste heat for cooling and heating in various industries. These units typically consist of four main components: the generator, condenser, evaporator, and absorber. A critical component in the operation of these systems is the LiBr solution, which serves as the working medium for the absorption process. The role of LiBr solution in these units is as crucial as blood is to the human body, ensuring efficient and stable operation.
Key Properties of LiBr Solution:
- Good Water Absorption Ability
LiBr solution has excellent hygroscopic properties, meaning it can absorb moisture from the surrounding environment. This property makes it particularly useful in applications like dehumidification and refrigeration. In a LiBr absorption chiller, the refrigerant water sprayed in the evaporator absorbs heat from the chilled water flowing outside the heat exchange tubes, causing it to evaporate. The LiBr solution in the absorber then continuously absorbs the refrigerant vapor, allowing the refrigeration cycle to continue efficiently. - Stable Chemical Properties
LiBr has very stable chemical properties, meaning it does not react with substances in the surrounding environment. This stability is vital for the reliability and long-term performance of LiBr absorption chillers and heat pumps. Over time, its concentration and composition remain consistent, which helps maintain the stable operation of the system and ensures the reliability of the cooling and heating processes without the risk of degradation or reaction with other materials.
These properties make LiBr solution an ideal medium for use in absorption chillers and heat pumps, as they contribute to the overall efficiency and durability of the systems in which they are used.
3. High temperature stability: It has high temperature stability, can be applied at high temperatures and is not easy to decompose or deteriorate, which enables LiBr absorption units to operate smoothly even when the temperature of the heat source is too high.
The quality of LiBr solution directly affects the performance of LiBr absorption units, therefore, its quality indicators should be strictly controlled, generally should meet the following technical indicators:
